BACALHAUPROJECT na revista visão de 21 de Fevereiro 2013
A revista "VISÃO" fez uma pequena entrevista comigo a semana passada e o resultado foi bastante agradável com umas fotos do "saco do bacalhau". Agradecemos à publicação e à jornalista Joana Loureiro a amabilidade com que escreveu sobre o "bacalhauproject" a sua história, conceito e relação com o mundo português de forma tão sucinta e amável.
The portuguese news mag, "VISÃO", did a small interview with me las tweek and the result came out really nice with some fotos from the "saco do bacalhau" boardbag. Above we post the interview with a small translation.

80´s in Portugal ,hadn´t been the boom of surf shops, with thousand
international brands to dress from head to toe….and when those very young and inexperienced
surfers walked with surfboard in hand the old used to say they walked with a
cod, such thick those boards were. They used their mothers traditional fabrics
to make their boards some bags,…Today, the context has changed and the “saco do
bacalhau” gained new life… The BacalhauProject use textile fabrics from factories in trouble or acquired in the carnivals and
trade shows, become this new concept of “boardbag”. Each boardbag
produced by Claudio gil company «gspot100%surf», has its own combination and
become unique, able to give the true value of the Portuguese fisherman and
sailors. Using the expression of force used by the fishing community from Póvoa
de Varzim that means “strength (up)”, used when the
fisherman´s from Póvoa de Varzim comunity, by force of arms, stuck the boats on
the beach.
